Colombian coffee exports do not rebound and accumulate a 10% drop until March 2022

C offee production has been affected by difficult weather conditions, associated with extreme rains.

The National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia announced that, during March 2022, coffee production was 914,000 60-kg bags of green coffee.
The data represents 13% less compared to the almost 1.1 million bags produced in the same month of 2021.
“The foregoing is a product of the difficult climatic conditions, associated with extreme rains, and the fact that historically March is a month of not very large harvests,” warns the report.
With this result, so far this year (January-March), production exceeded 2.7 million bags, 16% less compared to the 3.2 million bags produced in the same previous period.
