Falasco Family in Numbers

We Generate in Our Conuntry

INTERNATIONAL ACCOLADES

THE CELLAR

Bodega “Los Haroldos” is located in the North Valley of Mendoza. Precisely in the department of San Martín.

Thanks to work, effort and a strong tradition, today the company continues to be a family company, dedicated to progress and the production of high quality wines where technology, innovation and passion for what we do stand out.

Jorge Falasco calls this winery “Los Haroldos” in honor of his father and brother. The toasting angel identifies family members that we no longer have the joy of having among us.

History

Falasco family is a family rooted in the wine industry with almost 80 years of experience. Currently, it is the third generation that leads the destinies of the dream that began in 1939.
It was the year 1939 when Haroldo Santos Falasco began this great dream. “Don Lolo”, as everyone called him, rode his bicycle through the streets of a small city called Chacabuco, in Buenos Aires.
Haroldo thought big and the bicycle with which he distributed the wines had outgrown him. Year after year, Don Lolo’s dream came closer to becoming a reality.
His children and grandchildren had a mission: they approached what seemed like a utopia at the time and continued the tradition of creating excellent wines.

VINEYARDS

North Valley

It is the largest producer of wines in Mendoza and South America, irrigated by the Tunuyán River, it has deep, fertile soils, of alluvial origin, being able to find clays, silts and sands with no boulders; the vineyards range from 640 to 750 meters above sea level. The wines are distinguished by their marked fruit notes such as Torrontés. This region is the capital of the Bonarda.

Valle de Uco

The annual temperature is between 14ºC and 15ºC, the height of the vineyards ranges from 900 (City of Tunuyán) to 1500 meters above sea level (Gualtallary). These soils are characterized by being shallow, of alluvial origin, with the presence of gravel and boulders and the absence of clay. They have a very steep slope.

South Valley

The vineyards are located between 700 and 1,000 meters above sea level, irrigated by the Mendoza River, an ideal terroir for growing grapes for higher quality wines such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
The average annual temperature is 15ºC, this climate enhances the tannins and color in the wines, making them suitable for a long aging, since at higher altitudes these virtues are enhanced, generating round and full-bodied wines. This area is characterized by its shallow soils, of alluvial origin where materials such as gravel and boulders predominate.
